Chia Seed Water Drink Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 10–12 oz filtered water
- Juice of 1/2 lemon, lime or other citrus (1-2 TBSP)
- Fresh mint leaves, or other herbs like rosemary, basil, or thyme Cucumber, ginger, pomegranate seeds, or fruit slices (optional-but fun add ins!)
Instructions:
Add chia seeds to a glass or jar. Pour in water and stir well. Let soak for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add juice, herbs, or slices of produce Stir again and enjoy chilled.
Notes:
Soak overnight for the best texture. Use coconut water for extra electrolytes. Make several in mason jars to have on hand in the fridge through the week. You can use any combination of citrus or veggies and herbs-fresh works best, but dried will also be fine.
